5-27-2010 - Solo Flight all the way to Perry
N8234F WRB - PXE - WRB, 1.1 hrs/92.3 TT]
I made a flight Thursday to Perry, GA - all of 12 miles. The purpose was solely to practice some landings. What a beautiful day! The air was smooth as glass - not a bump the entire flight.
As I departed Perry (KPXE) I cicrled to the West and climbed to 2500 ft, giving me time to get the current Robins ATIS and contact Atlanta Approach for radar service into Robins (KWRB). I ended up at 2500ft about 4 miles south of Perry. I snapped a picture of the field from the south end which shows the new taxiway position. Perry recently installed a precision ILS System requiring the old taxiway be removed and new taxiway installed further west of the runway.

Robins Building 300-301 and Flightline area.
Entering Robins airspace on a Left Base to runway 33, I snapped a photo of the building 300/301 area and the flight line complex further north. Picture is from 1200 ft about 1/2 mile south of runway 33 approach end. I was actually over the Museum / Base Exchange area.
The Landings - they were awesome too.
